Job Standards
The Office of Budget & Management, Fleet Management Division is seeking an individual to perform preventive maintenance duties and repair of City Water, Light & Power, Police, Fire and Public Works Department automotive equipment and vehicles according to determined instructions and prescribed by standards and procedures. Maintain and repair small equipment and mowers and perform other fleet-related tasks. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school and completion of at least two years of vocational/technical training in automotive repair with three years of automotive repair experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Requires possession of a valid commercial driver's license (A, B, or C with specific endorsements may be required), possession of personal hand tools adequate to perform all functions of the job, ASE Certificates in Brakes and Steering & Suspensions preferred, but not required.
This position is posted for Night Shift 8:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
