Job Standards
The Office of Public Utilities is seeking individuals to assist with any boating related duties, help patrol Lake Springfield, as well as help support our mission for quality and safety while on Lake Springfield. Position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years high school, a valid class D driver's license and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Pre-employment background and drug screen are required. Previous related experience preferred; if under 21 years of age must successfully pass Boating Safety Class. Shifts will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
