Job Standards
The Office of Public Utilities, Water Division is seeking an individual to maintain a security watch of the assigned Water Division property; record all evening telephone calls; record and call personnel to work; and provide limited janitorial services when necessary. Relay information by telephone to personnel, such as water service, meter, main and valve locations. Assist and help implement new recordkeeping programs as necessary and must be able to process all paperwork associated with new and existing recordkeeping programs. Work shift is from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday*. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
