The Landfill is a vital part of the solid waste management plan in Springfield. Please note the planned schedule for Equipment Operator III Testing:
- Individual times will be scheduled for qualified candidates after the closing date;
- Skills Testing site at the Springfield Sanitary Landfill;
- Candidate Interviews will be held following the Skills Test.
- A minimum of 24 months experience in the operation of heavy dozers, excavators, scrapers, haul trucks, or equivalent graded equipment;
- Individual must pass appropriate equipment operation skills test.
Licensing/Certification
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) that would enable the driver to operate at minimum a class "B" vehicle with airbrakes.
- In order to qualify for some assignments, candidates must possess endorsements such as tanker and/or a class "A" license.
