The Jordan Valley Park Division of the Parks Department is looking for a qualified candidate to lead the division’s maintenance and grounds activities. As the Facility Maintenance Crew Leader, you will play a critical role in overseeing the upkeep of park grounds and facilities. This position involves supervising and mentoring maintenance staff across several acres of parkland, in addition to managing the maintenance operations at Brightspeed Ice Park.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee maintenance and groundskeeping operations at multiple park locations.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan for facility and grounds upkeep across buildings and sites.
- Assist in planning and coordinating large events hosted at various park venues.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Minimum of four years responsible experience in facility maintenance and construction, of which at least two years has been at the journeyman level in one of the following specialty areas: carpentry, painting, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or cabinet making and finisher work;
AND
- One year of experience directing and leading the work of others.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License for certain assignments.
- Must pass the written portion of the exam within 90 days of employment and skills test portion within the probationary period.
- Depending on assignment, may require Certification for Backflow Prevention within the first year of employment.
