Description
The Municipal Court, a part of the City of Springfield, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Probation Officer. Position will perform professional probation work to monitor compliance with Municipal Court-ordered terms of probation. Position will conduct pre-sentence investigations, case studies, and counsel offenders regarding personal or adjustment problems interfering with successful completion of probation as well as many other responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral sciences discipline, such as Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology or related area;
- One year of responsible work experience in probation, corrections, or the criminal justice system.
