What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Pool Inspector position at City of Springfield (MO)?
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Seasonal Pool Inspector.
(Position will work 40 hours a week for a maximum of 6 months - during pool season)
In this position the individual will perform monitoring of public and semi-public pools and spas for compliance with local codes. Conduct routine inspections, re-inspections, and complaint investigations of water chemistry and clarity to determine compliance.
Experience, Education, and Training
PREFERRED
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in one of the physical or natural sciences;
AND
- Completion of at least 15 college credit hours of combined Math and Science;
- Working knowledge of testing pool chemistry for pH and disinfectant levels can be substituted for directly related work experience.
Licensing/Certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license;
- National Swimming Pool Foundation, Certified Pool & Spa Inspector Certification may be obtained within first 14 days of employment.
