The purpose of this position is to locate City owned utilities as part of the Missouri One Call System and meet with residents, contractors, developers, other governmental agencies and other utility companies to discuss issues relating to the location of City owned utilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties are required and will be assigned.
- Locate City owned utilities as part of the Missouri One Call System including water lines, sewer lines, buried conduit / cable, and others.
- Meet with other departments, residents, contractors, developers, other governmental agencies and other utility companies to discuss issues relating to City owned utilities.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment and support needs.
- Prepare schedule of utility locate activities.
- Perform field surveys and tests.
- Prepare reports and document activities.
- Manage utility location plans, records, and files (electronically and hard copy).
- Assist in coordination with private utility installation.
