About the position
Supervise and provide recreational experiences for youth participating in the summer playground program and youth athletic programs and Mobile Rec Program- Park 'N' Play in St. Louis Park.
Position is seasonal and runs June - August 2025, working 30-40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide recreational experiences for children a variety of ages participating in the Summer Playgrounds, Camps and Mobile Rec Park'N' Play programs. Interact with children through games, crafts, and sports.
- Provide supervision and discipline of participants attending the Summer Playgrounds, Camps, and Mobile Rec Park 'N' Play program and ensure their safety.
- Assist Program Coordinators in preparing supplies and equipment for daily use, document supplies needing replacement and set up / take down site areas.
- Attend weekly staff meetings on time with necessary materials.
- Attend preseason orientation and post season evaluation meetings.
- Ability to communicate with parents, site staff and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
Interact and develop rapport with children of all ages and cultural backgrounds.

Are you at least 15 years of age / or will be by June or previous experience as a park activities leader or Junior Leader Volunteer?
I understand that I will need to be available for Summer Staff Training that will take place the week of June 10-12. If I am not available on these dates, I understand it may affect my priority in being scheduled.
The Summer Playground runs Monday - Friday, June 16 - Aug.1 (no playground program dates - June 19 and June 30-July 4). Please select ALL days are available from the following times during the dates above :
This position is also needed for special events and one-day programming. Please select ALL days you are available, please note there are events that are mandatory and need all staff available. Should participation numbers not need all staff, supervisors will communicate with staff.
