Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to manage prisoner booking, detention, and security within our detention facility. Operating under general direction, this role involves handling confidential information, making decisions in the absence of established policies, and addressing unique challenges. The ideal candidate will ensure the well-being of prisoners while maintaining a secure and efficient environment.
Shift: The hours for this position will vary across three shifts, and will include weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prisoner Monitoring: Coordinate and oversee the booking and detention process, ensuring the safety and well-being of prisoners.
- Facility Security: Maintain and secure the detention facility, including inspecting facilities and equipment regularly.
- Policy Implementation: Implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Emergency Assistance: Provide emergency assistance as needed and manage critical incidents effectively.
- Record Keeping: Compile and maintain accurate records and reports related to detention activities.
- Problem-Solving: Develop and implement solutions for unique challenges and issues that arise.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. High school graduate or GED certificate.
- Must become certified in First Aid /Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within six
- (6) months of hire.
- Must be certified as an authorized user by the Regional Justice Information Service and Missouri Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) / Livescan within 6 months of hire.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri.
