Position Summary:
The Indoor Head Swim Team Coach is responsible for overseeing the operation and supervision of designated aquatics areas under the direction of the Head Swim Coach. This role involves assisting in the planning and coordination of the swim team and instructional swimming programs, making independent decisions, handling sensitive information, and addressing complex issues. The position demands constant mental effort and effective problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and operate assigned aquatics areas.
- Assist in planning and coordinating swim team activities and instructional programs.
- Make decisions and address issues where no established policies exist.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Engage in ongoing mental effort to ensure the effectiveness and safety of operations.
- Supervision & Training: Oversee and train swim team coaches and swim instructors, including orientation, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Personnel Management: Contribute to hiring and termination recommendations for swim team staff.
- Budget Management: Assist in preparing and managing the swim team budget, ensuring activities and purchases are budget-compliant.
- Policy Development: Help develop administrative policies and regulatory actions for the swim teams.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve customer and resident inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Activity Coordination: Develop, assess, and manage recreational activities and operations related to the swim team.
- Public Relations: Plan and execute promotional campaigns and public relations efforts for swim team events.
- Safety Maintenance: Ensure the safety and maintenance of program areas.
- Professional Development: Stay informed on trends and developments in aquatics and coaching.
- Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks, assist in maintaining and operating assigned areas.
- Meeting Participation: Attend relevant meetings to contribute to swim team planning and operations.
- Schedule Planning: Assist in creating practice schedules and workouts for the swim team.
Qualifications or desired qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be a current USA Certified Swimming Coach or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment
