What are the responsibilities and job description for the Storekeeper I (Part-Time) position at City of St. Petersburg?
This is manual and clerical logistical support work in the operation of a storeroom, municipal warehouse, or specialty commodities area in the Police Department. Work involves the prompt and efficient receipt, storage, issuing, recording and maintenance of materials and equipment and includes maintenance and control of a perpetual inventory, checking records, researching item source and availability, and preparing periodic reports. Storekeepers are assigned to a varied work schedule to include night, weekend, and holiday hours.
Salary: $17.57 - $25.58 Hourly**

**The starting pay for the position will be $19.48 hourly.
To Qualify
Minimum Qualifications. Applicants must:
- Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Have a valid Driver License.
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in a stockroom or warehouse.
- Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.
Desirable Qualifications. Preferred applicants:
- Have some knowledge of warehousing methods and practices.
- Have skill in the operation and use of computer terminal equipment utilized for inventory control and stock location.
- Are able to acquire a knowledge of the use, location and nomenclature of a large number of parts, materials, equipment and supplies maintained in storage, or material particular to a special departmental operation.
