What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Assistant (Part-Time) - HIRING NOW position at City of St. Robert?
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Assistant Director of Youth Sports reports directly to the Director of Youth Sports. They will assist in the day-to-day execution of responsibilities outlined below
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Helps to procure program supplies and equipment
· Assists in driving volunteer recruitment for the program
· Works directly with the public. This includes but is not limited to; enrollment, ensuring fields and complexes are set up and in compliance for sporting events, recruitment of coaches and teams, finding sponsors for program, assists in keeping program and rules updated, etc.
· Will be responsible for collecting and securing money
· Participates in Youth Sports fundraising efforts and events
· Provides supervision at program athletic at every WSR Athletic event assigned.
· Complete additional duties as assigned by director
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Working knowledge of standard office equipment such as copy machine, postage machine, etc.
· Good communication and customer service skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first year of hire
* Must obtain Missouri Child abuse and neglect mandated reporter training with in first two weeks of hire.
*Must be able to work nights and weekends.
*Must be able to work in extreme heat or extreme cold weather; conditions may include up to seven hours at a time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid Driver’s License
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – PREFERRED
· Knowledge of the rules and regulations of all offered sports programs
· 1-2 years’ experience in youth sports management
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking
· Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions including extremem heat and extreme cold. Be able to tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with outdoors

Pay: $17.77 - $19.28 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
