Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

- Responsible for developing & maintaining social media, city websites, city communication applications and content that is consistent with the city's brand identity.
- Consistently create and suggest meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing, editing, improving public engagement and workflow efficiency.
- Works closely with all city departments to maintain & update forms, content and department requests.
- Utilize analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite and Facebook insights to monitor and evaluate they city's social media presence & performance
- Create Employee Newsletter and assist with the City Newsletter which falls under the direction of the Mayor.
- Acts as a backup to the Director of Multimedia Communications including but not limited to occasional night meetings, directing and audio, city events and emergency events.
- Maintain content and documents in accordance with appropriate retention schedules
- Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing other essential duties as assigned
- Subject to 24- hour recall: The City reserves the right to require an employee in this position to work overtime including during emergency situations (defined as any natural or man-made disaster that may or may not necessitate the relocation of City personnel or citizens). In the event of an emergency and/or a required evacuation, the incumbent may be required to remain at work to provide needed services or perform essential duties for the benefit of the general public including services or duties different from those performed in the normal course and scope of the position.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Skilled in Videography and Still Photography
- Proficient knowledge in social media and website content management
- Knowledgeable of Adobe Creative Suite software and Graphic Design
- This position requires an individual with a strong, detail-oriented work style
- Personable and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and the ability to exercise good judgment
- High degree of knowledge of software programs in Microsoft Office
- Associate's degree or equivalent and five years of related experience in assigned area of responsibility.
- Valid Texas Driver's License
