Description
The Landfill Heavy Equipment Operator operates light and heavy equipment and performs general laboring duties.
Examples of Duties
- Operates a front-end loader, tractor, dozer, excavator, or other equipment used to facilitate the work of the division;
- Operates tools such as a jackhammer, chainsaw, chop saw, and other tools as needed;
- Washes and performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment;
- Performs laboring duties pertinent to the operations of the division;
- Performs general housekeeping duties on occasion;
- Serves on the City Emergency Response Team as required;
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED;
- One (1) year of experience in a related field;
- Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience; and
- Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,532.28 - $47,837.35 per year
