What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Park and Ball Diamond Maintenance position at City of Stevens Point?
Performs general maintenance duties at indoor and outdoor recreation facilities located in the park system, such as assisting with painting and routine maintenance of buildings, park equipment, recreational areas, and ball diamond prep.
- Janitorial work (clean and maintain) in indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas.
- Performs turf maintenance including mowing, trimming and watering.
- Picks up litter in outdoor recreation areas and performs routine cleaning of areas.
- Aids in painting and routine maintenance of buildings, park equipment and recreational areas.
- Operates pick-up trucks, large and small mowers and other powered grounds equipment and power and hand tools.
- Responsible for cleaning and care of assigned equipment when used.
- Reports needed repairs or malfunction of equipment to supervisor and/or full time staff.
- Drag, chalk and prepare ball diamonds for league play and weekend tournaments.
- Other related work as assigned for efficient operation of department.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a good driving record.
Salary : $16 - $17
