14-25 Development Engineering Manager: Lead and conduct technical and administrative engineering reviews for the City’s private development applications and approval process. Responsible for providing engineering review of development projects for landowners, developers and their consultants and contractors who desire to construct subdivisions, buildings and infrastructure, or expand, extend or modify the same, within or adjacent to the city limits. Ensure that the City’s interests are met by careful review and consideration for the planned work compared to the adopted and related standards, regulations, rules, applicable details and governing bodies. Identify the planned work’s relationship to City’s master plans, past sewer/ water districts, Lease Purchase agreement and similar documents governing the use of existing infrastructure.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Public Administration or related field. Five (5) years of progressively increasing responsibilities with civil site development planning, engineering, plan review and construction management
OR associate’s degree in science, engineering technology, planning or general studies. Eight (8) years of progressively increasing responsibilities directly related to civil site development planning, engineering plan review and construction oversight management.
Experience with storm water modeling, hydrology and hydraulic analysis, potentially including HEC-HMS, HECRAS, detention system design and general storm sewer analysis preferred.
Salary Range: $71,843.20- $102,460.80 plus comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Annual leave, Sick leave, Holidays, and Personal Days.
