Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Team Leader II, utilizes a variety of tools and specialized equipment to perform routine manual work. Requires operation of sanitation and similar equipment. Routine tasks are performed with considerable independence and sound exercise of judgment and are subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring screening for illegal substance and alcohol use.
Examples of Essential Functions
Loads vegetation, trash and operates the controls on back of the sanitation truck, forklift, and other hand and power tools used in Sanitation.
Maintains inside and outside of City Sanitation yard and facility (e.g., cleaning, gathering loose trash, etc.).
Cleans garbage carts, dumpsters, sanitation trucks and wash down area.
Performs general maintenance in office including cleaning, moving furniture, and changing light bulbs.

Minimum Qualifications
