What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN position at City of Surprise, AZ?
This position is grant funded and will last approximately 15 months and this position will require working until 7pm two days a week.
SUMMARY
Incumbent provides customer service to the public by greeting visitors, answering questions, making referrals for the resource center programs and services, and providing support for the Community Action Program. Basic knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures are required at this level. Responsibilities include performing more complex data entry, compiling reports, creating basic correspondence, ordering office supplies and equipment, conducting research, and performing basic quantitative quality assurance reviews.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and two years of administrative and/or customer service experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must provide proof of having a Fingerprint Clearance Card (FCC) from the Arizona Department of Public Safety within 7 days of hire, or provide proof of having applied for the Fingerprint Clearance Card (FCC) within 7 days of hire. The cost of obtaining an FCC will be provided by the Human Services & Community Vitality department.
