What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARKS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN position at City of Surprise, AZ?
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and two years of recreation, parks, and sports turf maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License. Pesticide/herbicide applicator license is required within six months of hire and must be maintained.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview and an assessment exercise
