What are the responsibilities and job description for the POLICE TRAINING COORDINATOR position at City of Surprise?
SUMMARY
Incumbents are responsible for the coordination, organization, upkeep and maintenance of the department training records for both AZ POST audits and CALEA proofs as well as line-item budgetary information related to training. Incumbents collaborate closely with staff and subject matter experts in the delivery of effective departmental training initiatives.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required; and three years of job-related experience in training and development or a similar role. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Police agency training experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
Must have or be able to attain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) Terminal Operator Certification (TOC), Level B, within six months of hire.
