Our Summer Camps are seeking enthusiastic, creative, and responsible individuals to help guide 1st-7th graders through a summer full of exciting activities, teamwork, and personal growth. As a camp Rec Leader, you will inspire children to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop new skills in a safe, structured indoor environment. From hands-on arts and crafts to field trips and gym games, you’ll be at the heart of crafting a fun, supportive space. These positions support State-licensed programs. Incumbents support a variety of daily recreational services and programs, including youth and adult sports leagues, senior services, youth/teen programs, tennis, adaptive programs, campus operations, and special events. Incumbents are part of daily operations, set up site and equipment, assist in scheduling and conducting activities, perform customer service, and compile simple reports. Incumbents may serve as cashiers receiving checks and cash.
Any combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work. Must be at least 18 years of age. Certain assignments will require the candidate to be at least 18 years of age (Arizona Department of Health Services requirement).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must provide proof of CPR Certification Card and First Aid Certification Card within one month of hire date. Must provide proof of having applied for a Fingerprint Clearance Card (FCC) from the Arizona Department of Public Safety within one month of hire date, and proof of obtaining the card within two months of hire date. The cost of obtaining the FCC is borne by the employee. A tuberculosis skin test (TB test) is required by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Results of the TB test must be provided within one month of hire date.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
