What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records and Information Management Intern position at City of Tacoma?
Are you interested in learning about records management, information management or archives? Tacoma Public Utilities' Management Services Office is looking for a Records and Information Management (RIM) Intern to join our team. This position will support the RIM Administrator by collaborating and working on special projects.
Responsibilities Include:- Adding metadata to SharePoint libraries
- Entering items to retention schedule database and running test reports
- Reviewing inventory reports and identifying inconsistencies
- Data entry
- Migrating electronic records from shared drive to SharePoint
- Indexing images to provide descriptive information
- Scanning original records
This internship is expected to be 40 hours per week, 12 weeks long and coincide with the summer break.
Minimum Education*High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience*
1 year of post-high school training
*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in the field of communications
- Experience working in an office environment
