Overview
The City of Tama is seeking a dedicated and proactive Nuisance Official to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of life for our residents by addressing nuisance complaints and ensuring compliance with city ordinances. The ideal candidate will possess strong conflict management skills, making them well-suited to engage with the community effectively.
Duties
- Investigate and respond to nuisance complaints from residents, including issues related to property maintenance, noise, and other disturbances.
- Communicate effectively with residents to educate them about city ordinances and resolve disputes amicably.
- Conduct site visits to assess nuisance situations and determine appropriate actions for resolution.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and other city departments as necessary to address ongoing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of complaints, investigations, and resolutions in accordance with city policies.
- Abating the nuisances as needed may require mowing and snow removal.
Requirements
- Strong conflict management skills to handle disputes and foster positive resolutions.
