The City of Three Rivers Fire Department is seeking qualified individuals for part-time On-Call Firefighters. The individual in this position participates in a program of fire safety, protection and prevention and emergency medical services; assists in the maintenance of apparatus, equipment, vehicles, and other physical facilities of the Fire Department/Ambulance Service; and participates in training programs to increase job knowledge and proficiency.
Work may involve an element of personal danger, and employees in this job classification are expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the Three Rivers Fire Department’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by Federal and State law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider.
Minimum requirements: High school graduate or GED, MI Driver’s License, and possess the knowledge and ability to perform the job functions required for the position. Must be enrolled in a MFFTC (Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council) Fire Academy within twelve months and acquire Certification as a Fire Fighter I and II and MDHHS (Michigan Department of Health and Human Services) MFR (Medical First Responder) within two years.
This is a part-time, non-union, at-will position. Pay rate dependent on qualifications. On- call hours are required along with monthly training.
