- The person selected will work in the City’s Engineering Division and will manage and help deliver public infrastructure projects from project planning through construction.
- Work will include managing consultant and construction contracts. This position will get to spend time in the field observing construction.
- The city has a robust Capital Improvement Plan and this team member will work on a variety of projects with a focus on parks, wet utilities, and stream enhancement type projects.
Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities, to perform the essential functions of the position, may be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, landscape architecture, environmental service, environmental or urban planning, or related field, and
- Three (3) years' experience in paraprofessional civil engineering, landscape architecture (or related field), environmental sciences, and/or project management/administration.
- Project management certification.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shift, general working hours are 7:00-6:00 p.m. This position is required to be onsite 3 days a week. Schedule will be discussed prior to hire date.
