The City of Tomball is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer. This position, under general direction, plans, organizes, and reviews City engineering activities; directs the capital improvement program; and reviews private development and construction programs. Performs a variety of professional level engineering functions and serves as the City Engineer. Coordinates activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies and organizations; assists in establishing department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; and performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field.
- Five years of public works experience with 3 years of progressively more responsible civil engineering experience including 2 years of project management.
- Registered Professional Engineer in Texas
- Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets City guidelines or ability to obtain within 30 days.
SALARY RANGE:
- Hiring range: $105,664 - $110,947
- Salary range: $105,664 - $158,475
Salary is dependent on qualifications and certifications.
