The City of Tomball is accepting applications for the position of Streets and Drainage Serviceperson. This position is responsible for performing a range of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, landscaping, and general upkeep of City facilities and systems. Focuses on ensuring streets, parks, and drainage projects are maintained efficiently and safely.

Streets & Drainage Serviceperson's role within the big picture of the City's overall success. |
Streets & Drainage Serviceperson functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Street and Ditch Maintenance: Mow and trim streets and alleyways. Perform ditching tasks to ensure proper elevation. Install culverts and cover them with the appropriate material.
- Landscaping: Trim trees and edge sidewalks. Operate equipment for tree trimming and dispose of cut limbs through mulching or dumping. Ensure proper cutting of grass in ditches.
- Waste Management: Pick up loose trash in the city. Empty trash cans located on main streets.
- Sign Management: Repair and maintain city signs. Install new signs using post diggers and hand tools.
- General Repairs: Address discrepancies between driveways and streets (tie-ins). Conduct general labor work or repair as instructed.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various motor vehicles and maintenance equipment. Ensure all equipment is handled safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to the team effort by performing other related duties as assigned.

SALARY:
- Hiring range - $36,109 - $37,918 ($17.36 - $18.23)
- Salary range - $36,109 - $54,184
