What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEDC-Student Intern position at City of Tomball?
The City of Tomball is seeking a student intern for the Tomball Economic Development Corporation. The student intern will be between the (ages 16-20) to assist with various initiatives, including the Summer Youth Employment Program. This is a temporary, part-time position. The ideal candidate will work 20-30 hours per week in this internship position. Flexible work hours and scheduling (April-August) are available and based upon the needs of the Corporation. The position will perform various tasks related to economic development, including demographic and real estate research and analysis; economic incentive promotion and administration; community marketing and business outreach; and business assistance and retention. The intern will have the opportunity to attend staff and public meetings and gain valuable experience in economic development and local government.
- Student must possess a valid State of Texas Driver's License.
- Student must reside in Tomball or within the TISD jurisdiction.
- Student must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen and drug test.
SALARY:
Hourly Rate: $15.00
