The City of Topeka is seeking an experienced professional to serve as its Property Maintenance Field Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising employees, providing feedback and corrective work, and ensuring a high level of productivity and a quality work product. This incumbent will be supervised by the Division Director of Property Maintenance.
What you'll do:
- Supervise subordinate staff, including assigning, directing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, training, reviewing, and correcting work.
- Respond to calls for service, inquiries, and complaints from the public and other agencies regarding property maintenance enforcement services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials and coworkers.
The ideal candidate:
- Has exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact with a diverse audience.
- Can remain calm and maintain a professional demeanor in difficult and hostile situations.
- Is highly organized with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associates degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Three years experience in office management, business administration, and general experience in related fields is required.
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience or demonstrating leadership skills and abilities is required.
- Additional licenses or certifications may be required.
- Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topeka insurance carrier and possess and maintain a valid Kansas drivers license.
Annual Entry Salary: Up to $65,000 depending on qualifications
