Under general supervision to organize and conduct City programs and community events; assist staff in planning programs and events; set up City facilities and equipment; maintain facilities and equipment; follow oral and written instructions.
The City of Tracy’s Cultural Arts Division is looking for someone to assist them with the daily operations of the Grand Theatre facility. Duties will include serving as an usher at performances, assisting with event production logistics and coordination tasks for events and programs. This position performs a wide variety of duties involved in preparation for performances and use of the theaters as directed by senior staff. Candidates with experience working in theater facilities, event planning, and customer service are highly desirable. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for event preparation, seating and safety of patrons at events, and will need to offer the highest level of customer service to guests and artists.(depending on program assignment)
Lead and conduct a variety of activities and programs at recreation facilities.
Prepare and disseminate program publicity materials.
Prepare and maintain reports and records of program activities.
Monitor the use of City facilities, set up and break down equipment City facilities and equipment; maintain facilities and equipment.
Operate video and audio equipment.
Maintain inventories of program supplies and materials.
Provide leadership and assistance in assigned program area.
Attend and assist in training other staff and volunteers.
Enforce City, department and program rules, policies and regulations.
Maintain a safe environment in the assigned area/program.
Assist other City staff and members of the public.
Work a flexible work schedule that may include evenings, holidays and weekends.
Attend staff meetings and training.
Maintain professional, courteous behavior toward co-workers, members of the public and all others contacted in the course of work.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Knowledge of:
