GENERAL PURPOSE:
To promptly, courteously and accurately perform cashiering duties at Golf Course. Receive payments from the public and maintain record on transactions. Under close supervision will greet and assist the Golf Course customers and the public with information requests and direct phone inquiries. Will provide exemplary customer service to all customers and all the public. Will perform a variety of basic clerical tasks such as; data entry, filing, and copying. Under close supervision, this position will process transactions on cash registers.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED/GIVEN:
Under direct supervision of Golf Course Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promptly, courteously, and accurately receive cash and/or checks and perform cashiering duties at Golf Course.
- Obtain and verify cash in register.
- Receive and record each transaction for golfing and merchandise.
- Manually reconcile cash and cash register tape in balance with all transactions.
- Adheres to the City’s policy relating to cash handling.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries from the public.
- Provide quality customer service to the patrons at the Golf Course.
- May be required to work weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned by the Golf Course Manager including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Administration duties.
· Responsible for janitorial cleaning such as; disinfecting, graffiti removal, washing facilities and maintenance of the restrooms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Eighth grade education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other personnel.
- Ability to work under pressure with constant interruptions and to work on more than one task at a time, be self-motivated.
Knowledge of Excel and computer navigation
REQUIREMENTS, CERTIFICATINS, LICENSE:
· Must successfully pass the pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Utilizes any equipment, tools and materials necessary to accomplish the duties described in the Essential Duties section above, including but not limited to:
· Utilizes telephone, copy machine, fax machine, computer and word processing equipment, calculator, cash register and janitorial supplies and/or tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Mainly works inside building.
· Occasionally exposed to extreme heat and cold.
· The noise level is usually low.
