Position Specific Summary
The Pools Supervisor position at the City of Tucson's Parks and Recreation Department oversees the delivery of quality swimming programs and is responsible for the water quality of pools and the cleanliness of all pools and associated facilities.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Aquatics Superintendent. This position exercises supervision over non-permanent aquatics division personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the daily operations of assigned pool and splash pad facilities by maintaining schedules, providing training, evaluating employee performance, identifying performance issues and potential resolutions, and assisting with employee development. Participates in the recruitment, training, and hiring of non-permanent aquatics division personnel. Conducts swim test requirements as a part of the lifeguard recruitment process- .

Working Conditions
Indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to physical, ergonomic, or emotional hazardous environment.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience:
One (1) year of directly related experience
License:
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Full Hourly Range: $19.97 - 34.44 USD

Starguard Elite -Must become a Starguard Instructor within 12 months of hire
Starfish Aquatics Instructor within 6 months of hire
