JOB TITLE: Laborer – Seasonal
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Working Foreman
RATE: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour
STATUS: Seasonal, non-bargaining, non-exemptSUMMARY: Keeps premises of City park facilities and grounds maintained and clean by performing assigned duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Mows grass
- Picks up litter and debris
- Maintains athletic fields and game courts
- Maintains and cleans picnic shelters, tables, grills, etc.
- Loads and unloads materials from vehicles
- Empties litter receptacles and trash cans
- Performs construction functions as member of crew as needed.
- In person, on-time regular attendance.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Some high school education
- Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License preferred
- Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write basic reports and correspondence.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste and smell. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is typical of an outdoor environment.
