Supervises: Water Park Attendants – Front Desk
Reports to: Aquatics Group Activities Coordinator / Parks and Recreation Director(s)
Schedule: 40 hours per week, seasonal days nights, weekends, holidays
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists with hiring, training and scheduling of seasonal front desk staff.
- Answers questions from guests and offers suggestions when appropriate.
- Handles guest complaints in a business-like manner.
- Enforces facility policies and procedures and ensures they are followed by the customer service staff.
- Interacts with guests to encourage proper use of all facilities.
- Monitors behavior members and visitors make sure all are having a safe and enjoyable time.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Works cash register and performs opening and closing operations.
- May be required to carry a radio on shift to communicate directly with on duty Supervisors.
- Schedule must be flexible based on staffing needs; regular, in-person attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Age Restriction: 18 years and older
- Must have or be able to obtain appropriate food handling levels 1&2 certification within 30 days of hire.
- Previous Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English. Additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as, ability to learn recreational software application.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays , the Water Park is a seven day a week operation
- Must be able to maintain a professional, helpful attitude at all times.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly and lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills required.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certified on first day of work. If needed, the City will make this training available.
- Rate: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
This position is not eligible for benefits.
