"SEASONAL POSITIONS ONLY TWELVE (12) VACANCIES"
Provide recreational leadership and support to the department and its summer activities.
1. Oversee an individual park site and its programming
2. Responsible for registration of all children via sign-in and sign-out ledgers.
3. Responsible for weekly payroll submission to Glass Recreation Supervisor
4. Obtain parental involvement through Volunteer Tyler paperwork process.
5. Inform Recreation Specialists of equipment and supplies needed daily at sites
6. Create a fun and safe environment, with recreational opportunities including but not limited to sports, active and inactive games, minor events, guest speakers, and community projects.
7. Prepare weekly plan.
8. Create minor special events/contests.
9. Select educational-based worksheets.
10. Report work orders as needed.
11. Write incident/accident reports as needed.
12. Lead organized activities with youth in an understandable manner.
13. Delegate duties daily to playground aides both orally and in writing.
14. Ask for input and assistance in weekly plan and activities.
15. Report updates weekly to playground coordinator.
16. Inspect site daily for any safety concerns and report to playground coordinator.
17. Ensure trash and debris from program site is picked up daily.
18. Ensure equipment is maintained and kept in good working condition.
19. Perform other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED preferred. Current CPR certification preferred or ability to get certification required. Must have a valid driver's license in the state of Texas class “C” with a clear driving record or a reliable mode of transportation to work daily. Must be able to work upon hire through the end of the Summer program.

Four years of relevant experience will be considered in place of an Associate's Degree, and eight years of relevant experience will be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree. Any experience required in the Minimum qualifications is in addition to years of experience substituted for a degree.

All candidates are subject to pre-employment testing, which may include, but is not limited to, Drug and Alcohol Screenings, Work Fitness Evaluation, Criminal Background Check, and Consumer Report/Credit Check.
