Entering and maintaining docket calendar
Supervise clerical area
Daily count - preparing paperwork and daily deposit for funds collected for the court
Handle difficult customers and complaints
Weekly meetings with the supervisor and court administrator
Ensure computers and all clerical equipment is functioning properly, working the I.T Department and all third parties for all equipment
Answer phones and daily clerical questions
Complete employee evaluations
Train all checks on job tasks
Conduct weekly clerical meetings to disseminate info
Coordinate work schedules of employees as needed
Complete all tasks and projects as instructed by Court Administrator
Process case files from docket and virtual court
Clearance of deriver's license when cases are closed out
Reporting of convictions to the state weekly
Assist in court audits and projects
Conduct applicant interviews and make recommendations for hire
Generate and process various legal documents
Work hand in hand with all supervisors in setting standard operating procedures, annual updating of policies, and ensuring staff is following through
Bi-weekly reviews for job duties ensuring staff is on task, and working with Senior deputy clerk and other supervisors to monitor productivity
One-on-one meetings with staff
Issue and process warrants
Assist in processing mail
Assist in juvenile program as needed
Customer service reviews with court technicians to ensure excellent customer is provided
Track clerk's attendance/call-in tardiness
Must have knowledge of filing and office procedures.
Must be able to understand, read, and write the English language.
Must have knowledge of computers and general office practices.
Must have general knowledge of Texas Laws pertaining to Class C offenses.
Must have in depth knowledge of Municipal Court Procedures and Laws.
Must be able to handle the public in difficult situations.
The City of Tyler will accept two years of relevant experience in place of each year of college required in the job description. Four years of relevant experience will be considered in place of an Associate's Degree, and eight years of relevant experience will be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree. Any experience required in the Minimum qualifications is in addition to years of experience substituted for a degree.
