What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Maintenance Worker position at City of Umatilla (OR)?
Position performs a variety of manual labor activities in the Parks, Cemetery, Big River Golf Course, and other City facilities and locations.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mowing
- Weeding
- Watering and maintaining turf and plants
- Cleaning public restrooms
- Athletic field preparation and maintenance
- Painting
- Minor plumbing repairs and irrigation
- General maintenance
- Operating equipment
- One (1) year experience in horticulture, landscaping or building and grounds maintenance.
- Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to listen and follow specific directions.
- This position will work in highly visible areas involving frequent interaction with the general public, requiring positive, proactive communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible schedule may be required (split shifts, weekend, and evening work).
Salary : $16 - $18
