The City of Universal City is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Finance Clerk III. The Finance Clerk III will play a key role in supporting the Finance Department by managing daily financial postings for the City’s municipal golf course, assisting with administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations in the absence of Finance Clerks I and II. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, capable of quickly learning various software systems, and will work closely with the Finance Director and other City departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Finance Clerk I & II: Provide backup support to Finance Clerks I and II when they are absent, ensuring continuity of financial tasks.
  • Daily Financial Postings: Manage and record daily financial transactions for the City’s municipal golf course, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Finance Director, Finance Department, and other City departments by:
  • Preparing and recording cash deposits.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Software Proficiency: Quickly learn and effectively use the City’s Incode software system, the Golf Now point of sale system, and other systems used by Finance, Utilities, and Development Services.
  • General Financial Assistance: Support the Finance Department in processing payments, tracking revenue, and helping with other finance-related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience performing finance or accounting functions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $25.57 per hour
