JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the Parks and Recreation team, reporting directly to the Recreation Supervisor- Sports, this position
assists customers and ensures efficient operations of recreation facilities and programs at the Bob Crane
Community Center (BCCC).
This is a part-time role which will include evening and weekend hours.

• Oversees facilities, general open play, and programs in gymnasiums, gaming area, program rooms,
common areas and on the track.
• Ensures open play, programs, and leagues in the gymnasiums maintain order, follow policies, and are
successfully with a sense of fair play for all users.
• Keep all facilities and equipment clean and ready for use by participants. This includes cleaning
(including restrooms) and light maintenance, organizing equipment and storage spaces, and inspection
of equipment.
• Set up and tearing down spaces and classrooms for general play, programs, and rentals.
• Enforce building policies and procedures.
• Ensure all patrons are using equipment and spaces in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Ensure all patrons using spaces are in accordance with building and department schedules, policies, and
procedures.
• Maintain attendance records and ensure program sign-in procedures are followed. Keep score for
gymnasium programs when needed.
• Helps maintain security and patron safety of recreation spaces.
• Provide general first aid and respond to emergencies in cases of participants injury or illness. Initiate
building emergency actions plans and fill out appropriate accident and incident reports when needed.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures of the community center.
• Communicate all building and operational issues with MOD or supervisor.
• Assist with community center programs as needed.
• Demonstrate predictable and regular attendance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs other duties as required. (5%)QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 16 years of age;
• Previous experience in a recreation facility preferred;
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• CPR and First Aid certification required within first thirty days of employment;KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (* indicates developed after employment).
Knowledge of:
