QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year certificate from an accredited college or technical school and one (1) to two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience ; or any combination of training, education, or experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and the ability to maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance policy.

- Conducts audits of income tax records; mails tax forms and bills to individuals and business taxpayers; prepares basic municipal tax returns for residents; reviews and audits City tax returns; confers with taxpayers, tax preparers, CPAs, attorneys, and corporate officers to determine tax liabilities, negotiate payments, compromise and closing agreements.
- Assists in enforcing the income tax laws for the City; facilitates the citywide collection of tax and fee revenues and ensures the enforcement and compliance of municipal tax law; implements rules and regulations, policies and procedures; conducts compliance reviews and maintains informational database.
- Assists in updating and maintaining a database of economic development incentives to ensure compliance.
- Assists the Payroll Administrator with various tasks (reviewing hours, updating records, etc.) during the payroll cycle to ensure the accuracy of payroll-related payments.
- Assists with various tasks (updates parcel database, processes billing statements, applies penalties, answers customer questions, etc.) during the utility billing cycle to ensure the accuracy of billing and collection.
- Assists with customer service in person and over the phone; responds to inquiries from residents and general public; receipts a variety of payments (accounts receivable).
- Maintains licenses and certifications as required, if any.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
