Evaluation:
The tennis court manager and tennis court supervisor will evaluate the performance of all tennis court workers annually.

- Report ready for duty at least 10 minutes before assigned shift.
- Be professional alert, courteous, and tactful.
- Responsible for checking memberships, collecting guest fees, and answering telephone.
- Assists in maintaining and preparing the courts for play.
- Strives at all times, to maintain positive relations between himself/herself, tennis staff, tennis patrons and the community.
- Enforces rules and follows policies and procedures that ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of the tennis facility.
- Reports any issues related to the facility operations, court maintenance and safety to the tennis court manager or tennis court supervisor.
- Follows all established business and accounting procedures regarding the handling or transfer of monies.
- Works with the Parks and Recreation Office in the processing and replacement of lost membership cards and new memberships.
- Refers detailed inquiries to the tennis court manager or tennis court supervisor.
- Clears all patrons out of the facility during an electrical storm, tornado warning or other emergency situations.
- Aware of specific duties or responsibilities in the event of a major emergency.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the tennis court manager or tennis court supervisor, Aquatics and Tennis Manager, Recreation Superintendent or Parks and Recreation Director.
- The responsibilities listed above do not constitute every duty that may be performed by a desk monitor. While on duty a tennis court worker may be expected to be asked to perform other duties and tasks which may or may not be directly related to the tennis court worker function. If such tasks are assigned, it is the responsibility of each tennis court worker to accomplish the assignment to the best of his/her ability.
- High school graduate preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Previous experience in tennis preferred, but not required.
- Current American Red Cross or equivalent certification in CPR, and First Aid preferred.
- One [1] written recommendation for employment attesting to the applicant's ability to perform the duties of tennis court worker; his/her dependability and character.
- The City of Upper Arlington will determine the hourly rate for tennis court worker.
- Flexible scheduling. The tennis court worker workweek is to be determined by the tennis court manager.
- Hours worked in excess of 40 hours will be paid at the normal rate of pay with no provisions for overtime pay.
- All tennis court workers must complete an annual drug and background screening.

The tennis court manager and tennis court supervisor will evaluate the performance of all tennis court workers annually.
Salary : $12 - $14
