The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human Services DS SkillQuest program provides adult group day services for the developmentally disabled individual, using methods which encourage independence within the following areas when needed: mobility, health care, personal care, leisure, life skills, socialization, community integration, and emotional regulation. Currently, they are seeking a talented BH/DS Clinician III to provide oversight to the day care activities program.

Duties:
Provide oversight for up to two activity rooms within a day support program. Ensure monthly activity calendars are completed as directed and that activities are appropriate for the group.
Develop Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) for assigned individuals to include completion of assessments, participation in planning meetings, and coordination of services with the rest of the team; complete quarterly reviews as needed according to current practices; revise plans based on review of supports provided.
Complete quarterly reports, electronic health record reports; enter service authorizations and Treatment Plan’s into the Medicaid Waiver portal system, WaMs.
Understand and implement a multitude of state regulations and City policy and procedures; ensure all processes and procedures comply with State Licensure (DBHDS), DMAS, HCBS) and Department of Health Requirements; understand and demonstrate HCBS (Home and Community Based Services Rights) .
Provide staff supervision and leadership to include the completion of monthly one-on-one supervision, annual evaluations, monthly team meetings, and providing support, training, and guidance to assist staff in being successful.
Attend monthly supervisory meetings with direct supervisor and monthly all staff meetings; complete required training, education/certification, continue professional development, and keep current with relevant resources and information.
Drive City vehicles, to include wheelchair vans; follow City vehicle operation procedures to include accurately recording mileage.

**Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.
$1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
$1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
$1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee’s one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
