As a Construction Inspector I, you will engage in essential tasks that directly contribute to the health and safety of our community.
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform closed circuit television (CCTV) inspections of the City’s stormwater drainage systems to support MS-4 permit requirements and post construction inspections.
- Perform CCTV inspections according to NASSCO standards.
- Inspect drainage systems according to Federal, State, and Local law and regulation.
- Perform post construction and maintenance inspections of drainage systems according to State and Local drainage system design standards and specifications, and general industry standards.
- Perform CCTV investigative inspections of drainage systems to support staff addressing citizen requests, environmental concerns, or other drainage related issues.
- Plan and schedule inspections according to a developed inspection program cycle.
- Research, track, and report inspection activities and results in a resource management system such as Hansen or Cartegraph.
- Physical ability to launch camera equipment, lift manhole covers, and perform other heavy lifting up to 100 lbs.
