Landscape Supervisor duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Individual will effectively coordinate, supervise, and train assigned personnel in and during the performance of landscape activities including, but not limited to landscape construction, plant installation and maintenance
- Professional communication with internal and external customers
- Plan and schedule daily work assignments and assign crews to work projects directly or through subordinate supervisors
- Supervise roadways maintenance, landscape maintenance, grounds maintenance, layout and maintenance of athletic fields, irrigation system maintenance and repairs and related pest control work
- Determine use of materials needed for jobs
- Arrange for transportation of materials, tools, equipment and personnel to job sites
- Give instructions and provide training regarding work methods and safety
- Maintain time and material reports on all crews
- Evaluate work in progress, assess personnel performance, and quality control
- Effectively coordinate the work of subordinates
- Prepare maintenance schedules and routing plans
- Interpret and enforce divisional, departmental, and City personnel rules, regulations and policies including safety rules and regulations
- Effectively document in written form sufficient justification to support recommendation regarding administrative actions of personnel assigned
- Make handwritten notes, utilize work order management software program and use Microsoft
- Word/Outlook/Excel to document and report on work assigned/completed
- Responsible for performance management of subordinate employees, VBTime and approves leave for subordinates
- Responsible for leading work units involved in multiple assignments simultaneously
