- Provide direct supervision, guidance, and oversight of a team of 2-3 supportive housing staff who provide residential services, including resource coordination and housing stabilization for individuals with serious mental illness residing in the Beach Park West and Atlantis Manor residential programs.
- Manage the referral and admission process for Beach Park West and Atlantis Manor, including reviewing and processing applications and scheduling lease signings with VBCDC.
- Conduct program approved comprehensive assessments and/or psychosocial screenings for individuals referred to Beach Park West to determine appropriateness for admission.
- Develop treatment plan objectives based on assessment outcomes.
- Coordinate a continuum of housing services, specifically monitoring regular contact with tenants through face-to-face contact.
- Ensure ongoing advocacy for tenants, including support with addressing maintenance, rental, and resource concerns.
- Develop supportive, professional relationships with tenants to enhance the quality of their lives, empower them to develop life goals and self-sufficiency.
- Monitor service provision of supportive housing staff to ensure staff are identifying and linking residents to local resources, which include but are not limited to rental assistance, transportation adult education, health services, employment assistance and benefits (SNAP, Medicare, Fuel Assistance, etc).
- Provide supervision, including completing performance evaluations, quality assurance reviews and co-facilitation of team meetings to disseminate policies and programmatic information.
- Serve as liaison between Behavioral Health staff and the contracted vendor Virginia Beach Community Development Corporation (VBCDC).
- Consistently track and measure program target progress, including regularly reporting program outcomes to internal and external stakeholders and analyzing data for continuous program improvement.
- Participate in rotating standby coverage during the evening and weekends.

- Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or reemployment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.
- $1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
- $1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
- $1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee’s one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of “Meets Expectations”.
