Position Overview :
Under basic supervision, leads a field crew performing technical field surveys for Public Works design, maintenance, land mapping and construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications :
Required :
- H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent
2 years field experience in surveying
Texas Driver's License
Preferred :
Essential Functions :
Works with a field survey crew to collect and compile survey measurements and observations, measure bearings and distances and provide measurements from survey control points.
Performs surveys on City infrastructure; performs mathematical calculations for construction staking and layout.
Collects and verifies field survey data, GPS coordinates and control points; maintains accurate notes, records and logs; maintains and updates maps and records; performs survey data calculations.
