Street Department:
Street Maintenance Worker
The City of Wagoner is looking for a Street Department Maintenance Worker. This job includes call-out or call back time. Commercial Driver License (CDL) and experience in heavy machinery strongly preferred. This position is charged with building, repairing, and maintaining city streets, right of way, and sidewalks along with seasonal decorations and other projects including events.
Education/License Requirements: Highs School diploma/GED. Class A CDL
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive/operate vehicles, equipment and machinery necessary to do the work of the Street Department, examples are:
o Pickup Truck
o Road Grader
o Backhoe
o Mowing Machine
o Large Truck
o Small Dump Truck
o Bulldozer
- Build forms, pour, mix, spread, and finish concrete
- Mix, pour, spread, and finish asphalt
- Patch roads/fill potholes
- Paint road stripes
- Build, repair, and maintain ditching and drainage systems
- Prepare sand and salt during snow and ice situations
- Other duties as requested
