Water/Wastewater Distribution Operator I
The City of Wagoner, Wagoner Public Works Authority is looking for an entry level Water/Wastewater Distribution Operator I
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Water/Wastewater Distribution Operator I is an entry level position designed to teach the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery pertinent to water distribution for human consumption, industrial or agricultural use for the City of Wagoner, Wagoner Public Works Authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learn to operate, maintain and repair water distribution facilities.
2. Adheres to established safety standards at the job site.
3. Learns to operate motorized equipment, use hand tools, and perform maintenance on all equipment, machinery, and tools.
4. May stock and service vehicles to be equipped to respond to emergency situations.
5. Assist with installation and repair of Christmas Decorations and removal and storage of displays.
6. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid Oklahoma Class B commercial driver license and an acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CDL Class A driver license strongly preferred but not required. Must be obtained within one year of employment.
