What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Records Clerk position at City of Warrensburg?
The City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a Full Time Records Clerk within the Warrensburg Police Department.
The Records Clerk will be expected to frequently interact with the general public including visitors to the Police Station, receive and forward phone calls to the appropriate persons, and take and distribute messages. This position will respond to requests for incident reports and provide information according to the Missouri Sunshine Law and other applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances. This position will be expected to collect and enter all necessary information to applicable state and federal crime databases ensuring for completeness and accuracy.
The applicant must be self-motivated and have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks, have excellent communication skills, be detail oriented, and pass a background check and drug screen. Work hours are M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with paid holidays.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Training and Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training; or associate’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The wage range for this position is $14.79-$24.30 dependent on qualifications.
